The Great Spirit is in all things; he is in the air we breathe. The Great Spirit is our Father, but the earth is our mother. She nourishes us; that which we put into the ground she returns to us
Big Foot-Lakota-Miniconjou-Cheyenne
The symposium will cover the four sacred elements as it relates to current climate conditions and how we are all connected, without them we cannot survive. Our speaker’s panel will share information about their tribal programs and resources available, our guest speakers will share about events happening with other Indigenous Nations, diabetes and diet related illnesses,
We will have a lite breakfast snack in the Council Chambers. The first 100 attendees will receive a lunch ticket, so be sure to get here early. Their will be door prizes, exhibitors booths, and a chunky game demonstration.
We are hoping that communities can use their transportation vans to bring elders and those in their community to attend.
